Ecological Coordinator
Yuma AZ
Fred Phillips Consulting, LLC is looking for an Ecological Coordinator at our Yuma, AZ office. The position is ideal for a candidate who wishes to obtain hands-on experience in environmental restoration and project management. The Ecological Coordinator will assist the Program Manager with day-to-day work that goes into the Yuma East Wetlands and similar projects. This position will include, but will not be limited to:
- Assisting with all plant monitoring/ reports on revegetation projects
- Getting herbicide applicator’s license and help oversee the herbicide spraying program
- Assisting with daily/weekly construction observation and compliance reporting on wetland and riparian restoration projects in Yuma and surrounding areas
- Helping implement volunteer based events within the YEW
- Assisting with environmental surveys (vegetation, birds, mammals, etc)
- Providing administrative assistance, secretarial support, and data management
- Assisting with overall office management duties
- Assisting the Yuma Program Manager with any additional duties that may arise
Requirements:
- Must have degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Must be able to work in extreme field conditions
- Must be able to manage field crews
