Program Specialist, April 1 - December 1, 2013: Energetic educator and program minded person who is enthusiastic and passionate about working in an outdoor camp and retreat setting. Will assist with all aspects of the environmental education program including staff training, curriculum development, scheduling, activity area supervision (high ropes, challenge course, archery, and nature center), teaching and hosting guest groups.  Possess the ability to clearly communicate with groups of various sizes and ages while exhibiting a positive team attitude. During the summer months this position works primarily with our guest groups to provide hospitality and facilitate their program needs.  They will also supervise the program areas for our summer camp program.  

Our program offers 1-5 day residential experiences, day trips and outreach to schools.  We host a variety of groups and offer programming options for our guests.  We have a low and high ropes course that staff are required to lead and facilitate.  This position requires a lifeguard certification, training may be provided.

River Ridge is a program of the John Knox Center located 45 min. from Knoxville, TN.  We are located on 143 acres, 3 point peninsula overlooking Watts Bar Lake. Accredited by the American Camp Association.
