DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching: Teach lower-level introductory, upper-level specialized, and/or graduate environmental science courses, both in face-to-face and online delivery modes. Upper-level may include courses such as groundwater hydrology, environmental remediation, industrial hygiene, environmental law and regulation, research methods in environmental science, and others.
Scholarly Activity: Conduct research and publish in your area of expertise. Actively seek external funding to support your research.
Service: Help in recruitment of environmental science majors, serve on various department, college, and university committees as opportunity arises. Advise and mentor students toward their career goals of working in environmental consulting firms, city health departments in environmental capacities, state environmental agencies, and as corporate or industrial environmental compliance offices.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Doctorate in Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Physical Geology, Physical Geography, or a closely-related field. Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in university-level teaching, professional training, or other public environmental education. Three (3) or more years as a field environmental scientist with an environmental consulting firm, corporate entity, or government (any level) environmental agency.
