Project Manager

Opinion Dynamics, a cutting-edge strategic research, evaluation and consulting firm, is growing. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Project Manager to manage energy evaluation and research projects in our Waltham, MA office. This position requires strong market research skills, the ability to market professional services, strong reporting and analysis capability, an entrepreneurial bent, strong managerial and organizational skills, an ability to think out of the box, an engaging personality with leadership qualities, and an ability to work both independently and in groups.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with clients to define complex business objectives
- Develop research and evaluation methodologies that provide client results
- Write winning proposals for new work
- Develop actionable and comprehensive evaluation research plans
- Manage project schedules and budgets
- Design and oversee the design of research survey instruments and moderator/in-depth interview guides
- Manage and mentor research analyst staff
- Understand the macro picture and context of all work to allow for actionable reporting
- Manage, review and contribute to the analysis of client deliverables
- Summarize research and evaluation data, identify key patterns and findings and translate these into decision making information
- Author evaluation reports and industry white papers
- Present information at industry conferences and client meetings
Qualifications:
- Strong project management skills
- Exemplary client management skills
- Experience within energy evaluation, management consulting, or custom market research
- Knowledge of a wide array of market research and evaluation methodologies
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills
- Exceptional personal selling and marketing professional services
- Career-oriented individual with leadership skills and potential
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS or STATA and time-series analysis tools, along with the ability to train and mentor analyst staff on these tools
